For Medicare patients: We are pleased to inform you that your Medicare insurance covers all medical aspects of your routine comprehensive eye exam. This includes a thorough assessment of your ocular health & retinal health, ensuring that any medical concerns are addressed & managed effectively. However, please be aware that Medicare does not cover the cost of the Refraction. The Refraction is a critical component of the eye exam that determines your prescription for glasses or contact lenses. If you would like to leave your visit with a physical prescription for corrective lenses, the Refraction will need to be completed. The cost for the Refraction is $49.00, which is an out-of-pocket expense. This service is optional, and you have the right to decline it if you do not need a prescription for glasses or contacts.
